Capital Tour and Cruise

Experience Canada's capital city from both land and water. Begin with an exciting, historically focused bus tour through the heart of downtown Ottawa, followed by a cruise on either the Ottawa River or the Rideau Canal.

Explore historic Ottawa from two unique perspectives. This excursion begins with a classic capital city tour, which explores the city's unique history. Enjoy majestic views of local landmarks before embarking on a river cruise on one of Ottawa's two urban waterways: the Ottawa River or the Rideau Canal. (You may choose which water tour you'd like to take when confirming your reservation.)

The Ottawa River cruise includes sweeping vistas of Parliament Hill, Rideau Falls, and 24 Sussex Drive (home of every Canadian Prime Minister since Louis St. Laurent, who first occupied the house in 1951).

The Rideau Canal cruise traverses some 5 miles (8 km) of this historic waterway. Built in 1832, the Rideau Canal is the oldest continuously operating canal system in North America. It connects Ottawa to the city of Kingston, Ontario, a distance of 125 miles (202 km), and features 47 different locks along its route. Today, the canal is the recreational heart of Ottawa, and is frequented by pleasure craft and tour operators throughout the summer.
